Land Pooling Policy, Zone L

Context

Land pooling replaces acquisition with assembly: owners contribute land, the agency services it, and everyone takes a share back. Zone L, on Delhi’s south-west edge, is where the policy meets actual villages, actual holdings and an actual water table.

Role

Planning studio — group of twelve

Worked within the studio group on the zonal-level analysis — demographic projection, land use, transport network, physical infrastructure, and the sector-by-sector test of which land actually qualifies for pooling.

Process

The sheets run the same argument at three scales: the policy in the abstract, the zone as mapped, and the sector as drawn. Each analysis sheet carries its inference in the margin, so the reasoning stays legible without the presentation.
